Please join CRIC for the 2020 Prayer Event, featuring 17 faith groups presenting from the Ottawa area. Please follow the instructions for ‘how to join a discussion group’ to select your group preference following the presentations.’

Order of Service – M.C. and Host Notes

 

1.      President of the Capital Region Interfaith Council - Puran S. Kasbia – Opening remarks.

How to Select a Discussion Group

1.      Look over the list of groups and choose the group you would like to attend.

2.      Add the number of the group as a prefix to your name. To do this:

a.       Click on participants icon seen at the bottom of the screen.

b.      Find your name.

c.       To the right of your name, there are two icons – mute and more.

d.      Click on more and select rename.

3.      Type the number of the group at the start of your name.  For example:
01 Jane Doe; 
02 Jane Doe or 
12 Jane Doe.

 

Here are the topics for the 12 discussion groups along with their identifying number:

1.      Indigenous Spirituality – One

2.      Indigenous Spirituality – Two

3.      Groupe francophone

4.       World Peace through dialogue
This will include dispute resolution.

5.      World Peace through spiritual contemplation
- looking at your own religious teachings.
- peace begins within.

6.      World Peace through arms limitations.

7.      World Peace through world governance
eg. the United Nations and its agencies, World Trade Organization, international law (International Criminal Court), etc.

8.      Equality and justice of wealth distribution.

9.      Equality and justice of opportunity.

10.  Equality and justice of gender.

11.  Racial equality and justice

12.  Unity and equality of religious traditions
